Terms of Use

Last updated October 15, 2026

Pili helps you choose which photos to keep, and deletes nothing until you confirm it. One purchase through the App Store unlocks it for good.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Pili mobile application (the “App”). The App is provided by Jay Prado, whose legal name is Jesus Roselito Prado, an individual software developer operating as a sole proprietor under the studio name Anito, based in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines (the “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”). For questions or support, write to pili-support@anito.dev. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

2. What the App does

Pili helps you review the photo library on your device. It groups photos that look alike, can suggest which photo to keep and say why, finds trips and photos from the same date in earlier years, and lets you keep photos, leave them for later or choose them for deletion. All of this happens on your device. The App has no accounts and needs no internet connection except for the App Store purchase.

3. Your photos and your choices

4. Free reviews and the purchase

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, interfere with how it works, or use it to break the law.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, name and logo belong to the Service Provider and are protected by intellectual property laws. The Instrument Sans typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License, and place names come from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0.

7. Privacy

The App collects no personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains what the App keeps on your device and how this website works.

8. Apple App Store terms

The following terms apply because the App is distributed through Apple’s App Store.

Acknowledgement

You and the Service Provider acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and the Service Provider only, and not with Apple, and that the Service Provider, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content. These Terms may not provide for usage rules for the App that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as of the date of these Terms, which you acknowledge you have had the opportunity to review.

Scope of license

The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that it may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Maintenance and support

The Service Provider is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App, as described in these Terms or as required under applicable law. You and the Service Provider acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.

Warranty

The Service Provider is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the Service Provider’s sole responsibility.

Product claims

You and the Service Provider acknowledge that the Service Provider, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation. These Terms do not limit the Service Provider’s liability to you beyond what is permitted by applicable law.

Intellectual property rights

You and the Service Provider acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, the Service Provider, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.

Legal compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Developer name and address

See section 1 above.

Third-party terms

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.

Third-party beneficiary

You and the Service Provider acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

9. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t guarantee that suggestions, groupings, trips or other results are accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the loss of photos or other data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

10. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may end your right to use the App if you break these Terms; your photos are unaffected either way.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we’ll say so in the App’s release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of the Philippines, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
