Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

Pili collects no personal data. It looks at your photos on your phone, and nothing it learns about them leaves your phone. It has no accounts and shows no ads, and nothing in it tracks you.

This policy explains what the Pili app (“Pili”, “the App”) and this website do with information. Pili is made by Jay Prado (legal name: Jesus Roselito Prado), an individual software developer operating as a sole proprietor under the studio name Anito, based in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines (“we”, “us”).

1. Your photos

Pili asks for access to your photo library so it can help you review it. You can give it access to all your photos or only the ones you select, and change that at any time in your phone’s Settings.

2. What Pili keeps on your phone

To remember your work between visits, Pili stores the following in its own storage on your phone. We can’t see any of it.

Deleting Pili removes everything above except the count of free reviews, which iOS keeps in the Keychain. That count is a single number and contains nothing about your photos.

3. Places and trips

To find trips, Pili reads the location already saved in your photos and names places using a list built into the App (from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0). It doesn’t look up places online and doesn’t use your phone’s current location.

4. Purchases

Pili is free to try, and one in-app purchase unlocks it. The purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store: Apple processes your payment, and Pili checks Apple’s signed confirmation on your phone. We don’t receive your name, your Apple Account or your payment details. Apple gives us sales reports that don’t identify you. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Notifications

The gentle reminder is off until you turn it on. When it’s on, Pili schedules it on your phone. No notification passes through our servers, and we have none.

6. What we don’t collect

The App makes no network requests of its own. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software, and it has no accounts. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your phone’s Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics as described in Apple’s policies; we use them only to fix problems.

7. This website

This website has no cookies, analytics, trackers or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from the site itself. It is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and keep them secure. That is covered by Netlify’s Privacy Policy.

8. When you write to us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and help you, keep it only as long as that takes, and never share or sell it.

9. Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and similar laws where you live, you have the right to be informed about, access, correct, object to the processing of, and ask us to delete personal data we hold about you. Since the App collects nothing, the only personal data we could hold is email you’ve sent us. To make a request, write to us at the address below. Everything Pili stores about your photos is on your phone, and you can remove it by deleting the App.

10. Children

Pili collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the App does with information, we’ll update this page before that version of the App is released and say so in its release notes.
